This tote bag was sewn and printed in Port au Prince, Haiti. It represents a powerful message and supports an impactful organization. All sales from this tote will be donated to KOURAJ, a non-profit organization fights for advocacy, legislation, protection, and human rights for the LGBTQ communities in Haiti.

These totes were made in collaboration with Studio Baboun, a creative house dancing with innovation, the fantastical, & meaningful storytelling. Studio Baboun is based in NYC with roots in Haiti.

The Story:

The Haiti Design Co sewing team produces handbags, soft leather goods, home wares, and even the fabric bags that each of our products are packaged in. Because there is no textile manufacturing within Haiti, our denim and canvas are remnants sourced from jeans factories in the Dominican Republic. We believe each step of the process needs to be done as sustainably and with as much impact as possible.
